Leslie Barnwell from Kispiox BC, has mastered a technique of weaving watercolour paintings, creating dynamic multi layered imagery that alternates between abstract and representational. Varying papers and textural effects, she incorporates two images into one, producing ambiguous and mysterious form that invite investigation around questions of spontaneity vs. structure, the nature of transition, change and resolution.
